COPPERLAC Copper Lacquer 12oz Can Satin/Gloss

  • COPPERLAC Copper Lacquer 12oz Can Satin/Gloss
Price:
$34.95

Product Description

COPPERLAC is an air-dry lacquer, engineered to provide highly durable interior and exterior protection on color copper. The addition of UV and corrosion inhibitors to COPPERLAC assures endurance in harsh conditions such as arctic freezing, desert heat, beachfront salt air, and acid rain.

It has been discovered that even a blow torch cannot discolor a brass fitting protected by COPPERLAC.

  • COPPERLAC air dries to touch in less than 5 minutes and dries hard to durable finish in about 2-3 hours.
  • COPPERLAC should give satisfactory interior/exterior protection for at least ten years under normal conditions. Considerably longer life is expected.
  • 12oz. Spray Can Available in Satin Finish only.
  • Coverage 15 to 20 Square-Ft

DIRECTIONS
Any dust collected on the copper sheet should be blown or wiped off with a dry cloth before COPPERLAC is applied.

COPPERLAC is applied in two full coats. First, apply a thin coat of COPPERLAC to your patina copper as a sealant. Allow three hours to cure between coats. Additional coats may be applied until desired thickness is achieved.

DRYING TIME
Air dries to the touch in less than 5 minutes. Air dries hard in two to three hours, depending on coating thickness, temperature, etc.

  • Seems like a great, easily applied product

    Posted by Unknown

It will be ten years before I know if this product protects my copper wall paneling as advertised but it did arrive in a timely manner and was very easy to apply

  • Awesome Product

Copper better than photos show, used to replace two panels on our Dining Table. Looks great and the tutorials were excellent. Finished with the Laquer and looks great. Many compliments already. Have referred over a dozen people to your site.

  • Works Great!

Works great on my art project -- protecting the patina on copper. Finish is more between flat and semi-gloss, rather than satin/gloss. One can was enough for coating a 24x24 copper piece three times over. I wish they would develop a high gloss version, and also a lacquer spray can for other metals like brass and bronze or even aluminum. But this works great on copper.

  • Great sealer

I buy and 'age' or patina my own raw copper, but to seal it before an epoxy coating, I love this lacquer sealer. Well worth the expense, and a quality product.

  • Good for Small Jobs

One can will only cover a medium table top 5 ft x 3ft ...but the ease of administration and clean up (none) :) made it an excellent option.

  • Tough Coating

    Posted by Steven

Interesting product. We bought it to preserve the bright natural copper color of our kitchen sink. I applied 5 coats to the new sink which resulted in a thick tough coat that seems to have covered well. The sides of the sink remain bright a month later but the floor of the sink is darkening with the development of patina. I can't explain this but if I ever did it again I would use a soapy liquid to clean the copper before application of the copperlac instead of just using a microfiber cloth to wipe it out.
