Product Description

Bar Top & Tabletop Epoxy for Restaurants and Homes (COMMERCIAL GRADE)

*Email from a recent customer: I am a contractor and I did a bar top with your epoxy and it turned out great. We get many compliments as people just rave about how nice it looks. For the table tops I tried to save some money and went with an epoxy I purchased locally in a store. I had mixed results. It looks cool, but has many flaws because the epoxy has dimples, high and low spots that we couldn't get out. I wish I would have used your epoxy for the table tops because it is a much higher quality product. I'll send in some photos of the bar top shortly.

This product is a 100% solid, two component, clear polymer coating that is mixed at a 1 to 1 ratio by volume. Each kit contains a bottle of resin and a bottle of hardener. The product cures to a clear, high build, glass like finish that resists scratching, yellowing and will not distort with age. Items coated with it will become permanently preserved and protected for your enjoyment throughout a lifetime. This product will not exhibit blushing or sweat out under high humidity conditions.

We recommend that a lacquer seal coat be applied to the copper surface using CopperLac. The seal coat is brushed or sprayed on in a thin layer to seal the surface of the copper in order for the epoxy to adhere well to it. If you are not using our copper, and your surface is going to be wood only, you will not use lacquer; instead, paint on a thin seal coat of epoxy first to seal any pores in the wood surface and help prevent air bubbles from forming in the epoxy coat.

Working Conditions
For best results the product should be used at temperatures from 75-85 degrees F. The room which you are working should be clean, dry, dust and insect free.

Exterior Applications
Please not that although this product will resist yellowing better than other epoxies it is NOT 100% UV resistant. Continuous outdoor UV exposure over months or years will cause the finish to lose its gloss and cause gradual changes in color.

See the coverage charts shown below to calculate the amount you will need for your area. Remember not to combine seal and flood coat coverage's. Flood coats are designed to go on approximately 1/8" thick, which is about three times thicker than that of a seal coat.

Working Temperature of Product:
The working room temperature must be above 75 degrees, several hours prior to mixing the epoxy. We recommend that the product be brought inside and acclimated to room temperature, as it will be cold during winter shipping months. Use space heaters if necessary to ensure the temperature remains above 75 degrees in cold areas, such as garages and basements. It is extremely important that the temperature remain above 75 degrees for a full 72 hours, in order for the epoxy to cure. High or low humidity and higher temperatures (75-110 degrees) are perfectly fine for curing; the epoxy cures much faster with higher temperatures.

Epoxy Over Copper
We recommend that you wait 24 hours after adhering copper to your surface before pouring the epoxy over it. This gives the contact cement time to cure.

Copper Bar Kit

*Please Note: 1 Gallon Combined = 1/2 Gallon Resin + 1/2 Gallon Hardener

**Pouring over the Sides and Edges of a table, counter, or bar top
Make sure you purchase extra material to account for spillage over the sides.

***These calculations are not intended to give more than a rough estimate. Precise epoxy needs will vary according to many factors, including application type and project specific details. • Epoxy Bar Top

    Posted by Josh Guerrero

Beautiful clarity. Very easy to work with. I followed the direction to a "T" and it came out great. I kept it in an enclosed warm room >75F for the full 72+ hours. 2 gallons covered my 3'x8' bar top with some to spare. This was my first time using epoxy in this way.

  • Look Beautiful

Easy to prep and pour, looks really really nice. Directions are easy to follow, even had the room up above 75 degrees for 3 days prior to pouring. Only complaint is that 2 gallons mixed covered only 24 Sq Ft and not the 32 Sq Ft advertised for a flood coat even though there was no run off on the sides. I had to order a second batch to cover the remaining 2.5 Sq Ft I have. I am very pleased with the results.

  • Just follow the instructions for a perfect finish

I'd never used epoxy before so made sure I read and followed the instructions closely. The outcome was close to perfect across the three countertops I did. The hardest part I found was laying down the copper sheet but the end results were great.

  • Easier then I thought.

I have done regular laminate countertops for years in this particular project we had to do the 20 foot sheets of color copper per cent of the challenge which we found some tricks for turned out great and it was very forgiving and once we put the epoxy on top the project look awesome

  • Product works great.

The product works really well. Dries harder and more clear than the regular store brand. I have ordered several times and it's usually on my door step in just a couple days.
